About this category
This award recognises a clinical or managerial leader whose leadership has improved care, safety and the working lives of their teams. Judges look for the leader's own decisions and their effect on patients, staff and the service.
Eligibility
Open to clinical, operational and executive leaders in health and care organisations of any size.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a concise case study, supporting figures and, where possible, feedback from patients, service users, families or colleagues. Never include information that could identify a patient or service user: describe cases in anonymised terms and give figures as percentages or ranges. Nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Judges consider the size of the service, team or organisation, so smaller providers compete on equal terms.
